Sound Crete not only sets the industry standards for products installed but also the quality of the products.
Even though each product is tested at its own facility, a cube test is administered at the end of each project then sent to the lab for further testing.
By putting this system in place, not only do individual products get verified but also the finished product (once all material is combined) gets verified as well. This ensures that the ratios used on site are up to the industry standards.
Cube Testing
Sound Crete conducts field cube samples of Maxxon’s Gyp-Crete Underlayments in strict accordance with ASTM C472M. This ASTM is the only industry-recognized standard to test gypsum-based floor underlayments for compressive strength. Our cubes are regularly sent to Maxxon’s laboratory for compressive strength testing. Results of the tests are typically within 7-10 days after receipt.

Almost 60% by weight of what we pour on your floors is sand. So, ensuring we are consistently sourcing quality sand is our top priority. We work with our manufacturer to test and evaluate all sand sources to help guarantee our sand supplier is delivering clean sand to every job.
